you dont want a tall tank. they arent needed. Go longer. 7 or 8 feet if you can afford it. That guy will need that size tank when fuly grown.

You got your wish! It is something cool!

It's an Arabian Angel, aka Asfur Angel, Pomacanthus Asfur
. (juvi of course)
An absolute steal at $40. They hale from the Red Sea, and typically retail for north of $80.

Beat me to it Shawn
I'm a little slow to the party.
Most likely an Asfur. I have one, it is the slowest growing fish I think I have ever owned, I have had it about 15 months and can't tell it has grown at all....A lot of sources show this fish growing to 15 inch or so, but I have a book by Nick Dakan that says to expect this fish to top out at 6 inches in captivity.
Based on my experience I think the later is true.
Here is mine with adult coloration.

I was wonering when you'd post

I will chip in my 2¢ as well, and say in all my years, I can't recall a massive Asfur either. A big Maculosus angel, sure, plenty of them, but never a big Asfur.
They certainly are a cool spunky little angel. If you really like the body shape of a Queen or Blue angel, but don't have a 300gal tank, the Asfur is a great option. That I'm finding increasingly hard to keep off any personal future stocklists. Maybe a white-stripe/tail Asfur might show up
.

Yeah, White Stripes are quite cool.
Mine was the first in "big Angel", and largest for about six months. He was the dominant Angel in my tank...The Emperor shot past him in size and now is the dominant Angel, now the Passer is a little bigger than the Asfur and the Asfur is at the bottom of the Angel latter....Poor guy.
If you recall Aqua, I had a Black Velvet Angel on order from BZ along with the Sohal Tang....They couldn't get the Black Velvet healthy for a couple of weeks, but they didn't want the Sohal hanging around forever, or to keep me waiting. So they offered the $139 Asfur in place of the $65 BV.

yehh this fish is beautiful:)
thats a good thing in a way, i mean, mines only about 2" and its only in a 23g atm, but im gettin a 100g in about 2 months so its coool:)
only problemm that i could think of iss, i have a niger trigger at about 4", and i know the niger grows fast, so because the angel grows slow, could in time the niger eat it?
and your one is lovely:) i cant wait for mine to be like that:)
