what are good ideas on feeding your eel ?

just wondering how u guys feed them i got a eel and the main reason i got him is because he can be hand fed he is about 12 inches long put i don,t want to put my hands in the tanks so i feed him with a tube and he goes in and gets the fish because the other fish i got will get to the silver sides first ,any other ideas :D

My snowflake who I used to feed with a feeding stick has become to sharp now and he does come to the top for his food (I do not advocate doing it this way as they sometimes associate the top with food and that is a reason they try to get out at night- so don't do as I do if you can help yourself). My reason for posting here is that I use a plastic tweezers I found for sale at the lfs for feeding fish and it works like a charm. I hold the krill or silversides just below the water line the eel comes and takes it and goes down below to eat it. That way my hands are not in the water and I can control how much and where the eel gets its food.

heres some good foods fr your eel, silverslides, mine love squid, clam, and krill. You should feed a varied diet.
