What are some awesome halide lights?

I am looking to upgrade to halide lighting, does anyone have any opinions, or experiences they would like to share. What can I get in 48" please let me know

Yep, i do but i would need to e-mail it to ya, leave your e-mail, ill send ya some sites to look at. This is mine its a 72 inch. with 3, 150 watt doule ended metal halides and 4 96 watt pc's . and 6 moon lights also has built in cooling fans, i think 5 of them, and comes with all the hardware, includeing ballasts todd

Im working on my lights blemmy I found 2 orbit fixtures if I had the money I would buy them bolth! There 4X65 with legs and 4 moon lights 1 is $49 and the other is $66! If they go to high im gonna get an odessey it is $89 plus shipping but it has legs also but no moon lights. It is also 4X65.
Not to worrie either im only gonna do a softie tank I wanted a clam but after thinking about it kinda figured I wasnt ready for one. And after thinking of doing SPS I figured they would be to difficult.

:D Yeah I'm hoping it was high so I can rip it apart.

I use two of these over my 55 gallon tank and keep anemones, corals and clams. They were priced at $300 each, but I negotiated down to $250 each. I'm very happy with them. Took me like 5 mins to install them in the ceiling and they look uber. They are height adjustable with a simple twist of a hand-screw, so acclimating is a breeze.

Im thinking about getting at least one maybe 2 for my 70 gallon, its a 70 deep, so ill need at least a 250 watt , i just hadnt decided yet. And i bought a 55 gal. that im going to make aggresive only, but i wont start it till my 70 is up and going good. it just finished its cycle, and ive got 3 fish and a few other critters in it. todd

Well thats the hole key to it! College, there will come a day when you will have the money i betcha anything. School is sooo important. If i wernt a RN, ie. college, i wouldnt have the money either. so dont fret it will come. And belive me i hated school, but luckily it was school or my dad kicking my but everyday! :) so i picked school. Todd

Did you have to take microbiology for the RN degree? I'm in micro right now and my professor is a lunatic. Out of 70+ students in the class, the highest grade on the last test was an 82. I studied 2 hours a day for two weeks on the last test and made a 72. :(
I'm going into the medical technology program... have about a year and a half left. I'm already going bald lol.

So you paid $500 just for the metal halides? You can get a pretty sweet setup with antinics and moon lights for $500 from a online retailer or the same thing for $400 from an famouse auction site.
