My clown fish is very friendly and outgoing, hes great! But my fire fish and royal gramma do nothing but hide behind my rockwork. I know ive only had the firefish a week and the royal gramma a day and I should give it time, but id really like my next fish to be outgoing, any suggestions for fish selection?
im going with peaceful, non aggressive fish

Oh absolutely... Im going to give them at least 2 more weeks, if not longer to get used to their new home. For now, I will just beef up my CUC to tide me over (cause its so much fun picking out new critters lol)

be prepared for the wrasse to jump :( unless you have a good lid...
IIRC the dottyback and RG will fight
a foxface is very personable, and I lvoe my flame angel (and the coral beauty) in a 75G I would recommend one or the other

Btw, meowzer, what does IIRC stand for? The rg I bought came from a lfs who got it from a tank who had a dottyback in it who was also for sale. The guy says hes had them for a while now and they are fine with eachother. If I bought him, id keep an eye on him since they will have spent some time apart

The royal gramma is a temperamental fish. It coukd be fine for months and then one Day decide to attack. I see a potential issue with having a royal gramma, a flasher wrasse, a dottyback and a fairy wrasse

UMMM...you can't put an orchid dottyback with a royal gramma. I am not sure about the other fish getting along, but I am sure about the gramma and dottyback.
I love the dwarf angels they swim in and out of the rocks all day and are very active with sharp beautiful color, only one can be kept in a 75g. Or maybe a fox rabbit fish, and they eat algae, another sharp looking fish. All the fish you mentioned are small, a dwarf angel gets to be about 5 inches when mature, still small enough for a 75g but large enough to offset all the small fish, same with the fox rabbit.

fox face fish is an awesome fish but they GROW fast and quite large. I had to trade him in because he looked too uncomfortable.
Like you, I have never really liked dwarf angels but I got one because of my wife and now I'm like Flower, loving my flame angel.

Will the royal gramma and orchid dottyback fight like to the death or just have tiffs? I dont mind having a semi aggressive tank is they all have their own territories. When I did fresh water, I loved having cichlids. They would have their little disagreements, then they went back to their "property" it was alot of fun to watch.
BUT if they will fight to the death, I obviously dont want that. What fish can go with my RG? I really likehow he finds little hidey holes and sticks his face out )

Ahhhh... That sucks! Well, at least I got my rg, which was on my top 5 list. Since it can be fiesty, would a six line wrasse go well with it if it were the last one I added to the tank? six line was also on my top 5 list of desired fish

Guess it depends who you ask...LOL....I had a very mild mannered 6line.....apparently most others are mean

Yea, ive noticed theres sooo many different oppinions in this hobby cause ppl go by what they have had and havent had work in their tanks.
Btw, Ive been calling my kitty meowzers since she was a kitten :) her real name is "miss kitty" from the show gunsmoke. Shes my barn cat and shes an expert huntress, for some reason, she always eats the head and brings me the back end of whatever she catches o_O? Youd think she would eat the good part... I guess she saves the best for me lol :p blegh!
