What are the blue lights in my hood

I have a used light assembly. The guy I got it from said they were CF (compact florescents) regular bulbs. When I powered them on, two of the banks were a blueish color and the other two were regular white. Are the blue ones something special?

At the present I am unless I get information that I shouldn't. The person I got it from said they were 40w apiece.

Thanks for the info, the light assembly is centered on the tank. It is about 5 1/2 feet long 8-10" wide. I guess I need to take it apart and see if there is any wattage printed on the bulbs. really lights up the tank.

Aquarium CF bulbs do not come with 40 W
