What are these critters?

Whenever I turn my tank lights on in the morning I notice these little white worms. They are very small and they are eating(I am guessing)the algae I have on the back of my tank.
The two damsels I have in the tank eat them as soon as they see them when the lights come on. I assume they are from my DSB and if so what are they?
What are they doing and are they important?

they are off your dsband or lr, no need to worry, they're some type of pod(can't remember which)
but the good news is tehy are eating the stuff you do not wanta nd feeding your fish, nothing wrong with that

yup... they're pods -- copopods (sp?) I believe. I've got a bunch of them too. They are a very good thing to have.

I have them also, those little things can really mow through the algea. One question I have wondered is where do they come from? Although I have LR now, I had them BEFORE I put in the live rock.
