Hi. I have these little white tubeworm looking things on my glass. They seem to be increasing, but i'm not sure if they are beneficial or detrimental.
They are all white and have a fan at the tip like a featherduster. They are long and skinny, and pretty small. The smaller ones are just straigt, but the longer ones curl or bend their tube.
I was couldn't really find much other than "hard tubeworms". I also saw something in hithchiker forum that said it was bad for the tank and they feed on calcium.
any ideas?? thanks

oh ok sorry I misunderstood. I noticed that you can see the worms body against the glass as i watched it move in and out. so the clcification is only on the outside (exposed to the water).is that like those spirorbid worms?

I think that's it
Thanks for the site. I tried searching but i must have missed that thread.
The only difference between mine and the one's pictured is that mine aren't so red. There is a tiny red dot and the rest of the fan is white.
I'm pretty sure that's it though. Thanks a lot
