What are these white things

They're everywhere! How do I get rid of them tried gravel vacking out, but they just come back.Attachment 217731

Are they spiral shaped? If so they're Spirobid worms.

I looked up images for spirobid and didn't find much, but they don't look spiral like the images that I saw. They are more cylindar shaped and the tops have what looks like a little hole in the center with a fan like thing around the top which is really tough to see.

i have similiar things i thought they were just sponges

Yeah that looks like it's the same thing I have a porky too. I had one of them awhile ago and didn't know what it was now cant kill them.

i think the sponges are ok, i have hydriods apparently now too so thats something i gotta take care of

That looks like a sponge to me. Sponges are filter feeders so no harm.
As long as there not covering the viewable glass I would leave them.

the white things are, yes, sponges. the are called pineapple sponges.
