What are these?

I keep finding about a dozen of these (alive) in my filter bag which is located in my sump. They look like some kind of shrimp. Today I sucked them out with a turkey baster and fed them to my fish. My Trigger couldn't get enough of them. Then I thought, maybe I shouldn't be releasing these into my main tank.
What are they and is it ok to release them back into my display tank for the fish to eat?
Thanks.
Oh yeah, the biggest one is about 1/4" long.

Nope, they are. You have amphipods, copepods, tiger pods etc. I have hundreds of these in my refugium.

Thanks man. You taught me something today.
Keep ridin'. It's good to see a fellow Harley owner with an aquarium fetish. Extra cash... hmm... Chrome or Coral?

I know it's a hard decision; Chrome or coral. Bike is custom so I am safe there. Tank is stocked but could always use more.
It was 19 degrees here today but i HAD TO RIDE ANYWAY. kEEP EVERYTHING LUBED AND THE BATTERY CHARGED.
Ride it like ya stole it.
Keep the rubberside down.

Those are amphipods. The other folks are right. Fish love them. Definately squirt them in your main tank. They probably are there already, you just don't see them hiding in the rock and sand. The small pods you're talking about are copepods. Very beneficial too. There's lots on info on this board about amphipods...just do a search.
