As an addendum to the last - some corals with long tentacles will more likely not be safe with the pep's - I did have problems with them nipping tentacles pff of the yellow star zoas but they did not bother the palys or other zoas in the tank - I think the yellows just looked like aptasia to them.

That looks like mojano ... another pest anemone.

man, you just have some bad luck! aptasia and then this mojano... no fun. I've never heard of mojano, though. Do you guys know how to get rid of it? Does simply taking it out of the tank work?

We had both aptasia and majano. (Sad thing is when we were newbie's and were buying rock we were like "Awsome look this rock has stuff growing on it" so we bought as much as we could.
)Anyways..........We just mixed some kalkwasser sucked it up with a syringe and dropped just one drop in each one and we never seen them again. We made sure not to touch it so that it stayed open and dropped it right into its mouth. Good luck!!

Yeah, those suckers grow fast too. I was noticing new "babies" today...Grrrrr. I had to order my joe's juice too. So right now I am using Lemon Juice and boiling water. Not working...

try peppermint shrimp, my lfs has a tank full of them and when he has apista in his other tanks tosses them in with the shrimp and they go nuts and eat them.

You'll never believe this. I went to the pet store to see if they had Joe's Juice and peppermint shrimp. They were trying to sell a large Aiptasia for $16.99, The were calling it a "ROCK" Anemone. I asked if they had JOE's Juice. "What's that?" "Why would you want to kill those rock anemones." I just walked out.

Why would you want to have something eat them right after they helped you out of a jam! :)

That's the point! I don't want to buy them if I have fish that will eat them. I wouldn't want to do that to the guys. That's why I was asking...

wow id never go back to that LFS... and id tell anyone walking in there to leave as well.
i would not add any nudibranch to the system unless you know how to properly care for them. most , if not all nudibranchs are VERY specialized and eat only very specific food items that we as hobbyists can rarely provide. in most cases, the nudibranchs do their job and then starve to death. in some instances, the dead nudi can release a toxin that has tank-crashable potencies. it is also irresponsible as a hobbyist to purchase one just for its task with the idea of "i will just trade it to somebody else who needs it when i am done / trade it to the fish store". Obviously there is no guarantee of another hobbyist that is in demand or LFS that will take it back.

sweet. congrats on the success! I would now get some sort of natural preditor to keep them away. A peppermint or something - that way the babies will be eaten long before you even notice them.
