What are they?

My tank has been set up for over 8 months now. This morning when I turned the light on there's all these tiny white things clining to the sides of the glass. At first glance they look like large grains of salt sticking to the sides. After looking more closely at them, I noticed they were alive and moving. They kind of look like tiny minature white snails or something. What are they, where did they come from, are they bad and how do I get rid of them?
:nervous: :help:

My best suggestion is that you do a Search for "white things" "tiny white".
This is almost a daily topic people ask. Also to, there are many pics posted and you can match what you have up with that.
Then read what's posted about them.
But to answer you question, they may be pods or baby snails,
Either way not harmful to your tank at all and nothing to worry about.
Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I was off doing the search for 'white things' and such while you posted. I guess my first instinct was to panic. I recently moved my tanks and lost my cleaner shrimp and strawberry basslet.
I think everything is all settled down now.
From what I have seen in picures on the forum, they are probably baby snails. I have 2 turbo snails. I just did not want to lose anymore of my fish.
Thanks.
