What are they

The last few nights I have been watching these little white translucent worms on my LR. They are, or seem to be, attached at one end to the rock and extend out and wiggle around from there. It looked like it was eating stuff off the rock. If I got the light too close to it it would shrink back into the rock and I couldn't even see where it had come from. It was really neat I am just wondering what they are. Any thoughts?

I see them LR all the time, all i can say is that i have seen kill 4 of my astera snails. Not sure if they are the same but a pic possibly??

I can't get a pic because as soon as the light come on they retract. In less than a second they are gone. The way I watch them is by dimming the lights in the next room leaving just enough light to see into the tank. I have 4 snails which they haven't killed so far. Guess I better warn them.

Are there two tentacles (Vermitid Snail) or many (Terebellid Worm) coming from the same hole in the rock?
They could be something else but the above two guesses are pretty common.
