yes, most of you right about razor blades, blennys, & snails with a 55 gallon tank, but my 150 is to much trouble to keep scraping once a week. The tank is tall and long - I usually need to get a a small step ladder out. :)
My Hammerhead should be here in the next couple days. I will post how well it works. I'm looking for ayone else thats used these.
P.s. Mark, said the hammerhead would be WAY TO STRONG for a 55 gallon. They have a whole line of these magnets.

Yes I agree, my tank is large too, cant reach the bottom on a ladder thats why I invested in the good Hammers, they have Great whites, that are good for 1 inch thick acrylic, Mega super strong, you will like the hammers, this is professional Grade Equipment:)

The Hammer Arrived! The total cost $69. Words can't descibe how powerful this magnet is. NO B.S. Check it out at the store if you see one. It pinched my fingers when i turned it around. Scraped the algae off with ease. Again, a larger tank needs one one of these. Sorry, but i was just sick and tired of going into my 150 with a ladder and razor blades once a week.
Larger tank owners check it out.

My magnet cleaner never seemed to get the light brown algae off so I went to razor blades but they were sharp and had the tendency to scratch. I found that old credit cards work great, get's the stuff off and safe for people like me.
