What are you feeding your snowflakes?

I have a 24" snowflake I have had for 2 months maybe. I have been feeding it frozen VHP cubes. I have to break them in half and it still has a hard time getting it down. Any other ideas?

I dont have a snowflake but I feed my eel pieces of shrimp. I bought silversides but it shows no interest in them. Trying to get some squid from here at work to try also. I hope it works since there is a shrimp plant in the same building as me and I can get all that kind of stuff for free. Squid, small crabs and whatever else may have gotten netted.

I feed mine shrimp and squid. He is very aggressive and comes all the way out of his caves to the top of the tank as soon as I put any food in the water. My eel fights with my dog face puffer for whatever I am feeding them at the time. He is one aggressive snowflake moray eel. He will even take the food right from my hand. I have had my eel and puffer for three days now and they can't seem to get enough food. When I feed them they are both very active and agressive, but mostly the eel tries to bully the puffer. The puffer really seems not to care about the eel so much and goes about his own business and eats whatever I feed him also. I feed them once a day at the same time. It is really hard not to over feed these guys b/c it is a lot of fun to watch them when they are eating.

Mine usually eats a few large cocktail shrimp, silversides, and sometimes squid and tankmates... he's finicky.

my snowflake is also 24 inches. I feed him cocktail shrimps and krill. In the summer i feed him crabs, and fish i catch from the ocean in Mass. He has never eaten a tankmate. Only eats what i feed him personally. Wont even eat a goldfish if i dont give it to him... odd but makes for a great friendly fish!!

when you are feeding shrimp do you cut them up or do you let the eel choke it down full size? I an not having a problem getting him to eat or show intrest.

i feed him usually 2 or 3 full shrimp. I rip them apart into 3rds. This way he doesn't struggle to get them down. so 9 pieces all together, daily. give or take

I put them on whole on a feeding stick.
Give him time to eat... just make sure you don't shove it right in his face, they usually hate that.
