I think the NFL is going to have to do something about it next year. I don't know the exact numbers of homes that have it but it's no where close to what the NFL had projected. They had hoped that more people would call into their cable companies and demand that it be offered for free or for some even offered at all. Look at last night's game. Hands down one of the best games of the year, two 10-1 teams both from the weak NFC, and still the numbers just aren't cutting it. It would be devistating for the NFL to be able to pick and choose what games to broadcast next year. $10 says they take the draft away from ESPN. Some consider it to be the beginning of the end.

if the draft is gone then they will have some seriourls pissed off fans...i for sure can
live without football...however i dont want to...but if i have to PAY
to watch it at HOME
...then i will be a fan no longer...i would rather pay $50 to see it live and in person then pay that much to see them on T.V....

Ya my neighbor has NFL network, but ya, I don't know of anyone else. I hate the NFL for not showing all those games. And I sure hope it doesn't get any worse. If I had to pay to watch a super bowl I'd boycott NFL.

I have Dish Network - the NFL Network is part of their most basic package...not to mention I'm paying half of what I paid when I had Comcash.

It was pretty much crap, I'm already ticked at the NFL, I moved to houston, and they don't show the cowboys game if they are playing at the same time the Texans are playing. How dumb is that? They should let these networks show as many games as they can, the Texans are selling out every game still. and so is pretty much everyone else. So why do we have to watch the Texans when we could watch a different game. Then they have this NFL network and of course cable companies say they are protecting their bottom line. I've had the NFL network, it is horrible. The coverage was like watching a preseason game on a local channel. And Gumble sounds like Kermit the Frog. They kept on saying Green Bay instead of the Cowboys. I counted 3 times. They missed the beginning of plays for commercials, they showed replays instead of extra points. It was just a 2nd rate show, if I were the cable companies, I'd tell em were to stick it. But seriously, go with a Dish service, the channels are better, their products are better. They are cheaper if you get DSL instead of Cable internet. If you have a hurricane and everything is wiped out, all you have to do is hook your TV up to the generator and you can get news and stuff, cable will be out for a while. Dish is just a better service.

i dont have a problem with it at all... i have the NFL N and watch it all the time...
the reason for the extra thursday games is because of the NFL N... they have a Thursday game for the next couple weeks then they have a couple Saturday games... last season was the first ever 3rd game on Thanksgiving and i thank the NFL N for getting that additional game!!! as mentioned before its not the NFL its your cable TV provider that isnt picking up the NFL N...
besides... MNF is no longer on national TV either... its on ESPN which s a pay channel as well...

that is crap too,
I do think these leagues are trying to make an extra buck, is hurting. Like nascar, used to be you knew what channel it was on, Fox, now they have races spread out over 4 channels. And really I only like watching the races on Fox. So I don't watch the whole season anymore.

I hope you're kidding. Of course they are going to show the local team on television before a different team. That makes absolutly no sense. You don't expect that If you move to Chicago they are going to show a raiders game over the Bears game at the same time slot do you?

NFC vs AFC They aren't on the same channels, the boys on fox, and the texans on CBS at the same time. The boys on fox are blacked out and we get to watch stargate.
