MNF is not the same with out John and Al.....I used to look forward to the monday night Madden babble.....he's not the same on sunday night...
you dont have to have the ticket... if you purchase the Sunday Ticket you get all games EXCEPT Sunday Nights and any game not played on Sunday... its not the NFL N's fault ya all choose cable over DTV or DNetwork... call repeatedly to your cable company and demand that they get rid of a channel and pick up the NFL N...
stdreb - since you live in Houston the local market comes first since you live in an NFL city... doesnt matter the network... if the Cowboys would get higher rating (which they probably would) the area can choose which games are shown to get the best rating for the home team...

No need to apologize, keep watching sports wishing you were good at something.

well i agree that a big game of 10-1s should have been on reg. tv, but they didnt know when the sched was made that this was gonna happen. if anything the nfl network should be put on extended basic cable not on dish network or direct tv.
id complain more but i have nfl network...even if you miss games you can see them without commercials on replays...pretty nice idea

how was the NFL to know that Dallas and GB would be 10 - 1 when the game was scheduled long before the season and designated as a Thurdays game that the NFL N would air???

i am so NOT a football fan but i think it's rediculous , its all about the buck.and i'll i have to say about that is that if they didnt pay the players so much $$$$$$$$$$ they wouldnt have to keep finding more ways to rip all the fans off.

If the game is blacked out then I would guess that the game wasn't sold out. So If you want to see the game that bad jump in the car and go. Or go to a local bar or something that has sunday ticket and watch the game.

Let me explain this a bit more clearly. Because clearly I'm not doing a good job.
In Houston, If the Cowboys are playing at the same time as the Texans. And the games are being carried on fox for the cowboys and cbs for the Texans. The Cowboys game is not shown in houston. So they "force" us to watch the texans game.
A cowboys game not sold out?
I don't remember the last time a game wasn't sold out.

Go to a local bar or something that has sunday ticket and watch the game. I'm a Giants fan, so there games aren't always on here in Texas, especially if they are on at the same time as a Cowboys game. So I go to a local pub or something and watch the game. You could do the same thing.

You would not have any thursday football if not on NFL network it their channel.Drop the crooked cable and you will get it for free. They just put it on a different teir so someone will buy cause no one has intrest in them channels.I only get the sports teir on DTV for UM games on ESPN U and then put my movie channels back after the game is over.I don't know if you can do that with cable but you can with DTV.Just a thought.
