Which BULBs would you buy?
Jebo Odyssea 36" - $19.99 ea.
day: 12000k
actinic blue
CurrentUSA SunPaq 36" - $34.99 ea.
dual daylights 6700k, 10000k
dual actinic 420/460 nm
I'm at 6-months and I would like to replace.
My fixture holds two bulbs, one DAY, one BLUE.

I haven't used CurrentUSA before, I mainly used Jebo. I just switched to Coralife and I prefer them now. The coloration of the corals and growth is ALOT better. I wouldn't mess with the 12k bulbs I think they are crap, I stick with the 10k.

current usa. The dual actinic is great because true 420mn is so dark it hardly adds any color to the tank but the 460mn mixes perfectly. As for the daylight bulb neither. 12K flourescent really isn't ideal for anything except maybe good looking color and I dont like the 6700k. that color looks like a cheap freshwater regular flourescent and is more likely to promote algae growth (athough it may help some corals grow faster which I really dont need or want). For daylight I use a generic ---- 10K bulb.

Thanks, Stan.
Sounds like you have the same catalogues as me.
Cripes, bulb replacement costs almost as much as the fixture.!.!.!.

I just switched from Jebo's 10ks to Odessya's 12ks and they look alittle brighter but nothing crazy in terms of different color spectrums, i have a jebo 4 light fixture and i house 2 acntics 55w and 2 12ks 55w and my softies are doing great....at one point since i bought 4 12ks in a group buy i used all 4 in my pc fixture but i think it was too much light on my tank (they say pc lights can cause an algae bloom) and thats exactly what happened so now i just have 2 and the other 2 are spares... ***)
