what brand of bulb?????

So for know I am running a couple aqua medic 150W MH. I picked them up for 130 for the pair! But I think I want new bulbs. So what brand do you prefer and why? I hear the aqua medic bulbs are great but expensive. Anybody us the xm? They are ushio right now, long term with them?

I like Phoenix 14K..I like the look....no yellow and now all blue...IMO USHIO SUX..mine looked yucky yellow
are yours dbl end...single..or something else???

MIne now are 20k double end ushio. They are blue enough that is for sure. When I get to my computer tomorrow and not my phone I will show you a picture you can see how blue on.

xm 20k 150w hqi is also a really nice bulb if you like blue with alot of pop

Do you have any long term stuff on them do they wear out fast. The way I understand 20k bulbs are hard to make and that's why they cost more... The guy I bought them from says the aqua medic are the best and I have seen them at his house and they look great but they are like 120 a bulb. Guess I just want all the info I can get before I make the buy.

phosphors in bulbs make the difference in the prices. the aqua medics are nice, but i'll have to say theyre not worth the extra money. as for lifespans, most MH bulbs start large spectrum shifts around the 9 month mark.

NIKE will you plz look at my lighting thread and tell me wat u think....especially about the reflector part. I seem to think you know wat ur talking about, not that no one else does but more input would be appreciated! Sry for intruding
