I like tropic marin. It mixes very well, not pumped up with a whole bunch of extra stuff that your reef doesn't need.:D

Oceanic is my new salt of choice. It dissolves quickly, and is well balanced in my opinion. I don't have a Magnesium test kit, but all of the readings I've done on Oceanic mixtures are practically identical to the results posted by ReefNut.
I used to use Instant Ocean, where I would have to mix the salt overnight to get an accurate reading for salinity. The first time I mixed Oceanic salt, the salinity read 33ppt on my refractometer two minutes after adding it to RO/DI. I waited overnight to see if any more salt dissolved to bring it closer to my goal of 35ppt. To my amazement, the refractometer still read 33ppt! A little more salt, a few minutes wait, and the salinity was right at 35ppt.

Another Instant Ocean user that will soon switch to Oceanic...I like the things I'm hearing about their new product and intend to change as soon as my current supply of Instant Ocean is used up.

Instant Oceans been my choice for 20 years.....I've heard good things about Oceanic and Tropic Marine. I tried to get Catalina water Co to deliver NSW to my house but they wouldn't do it. Its just too hard to haul the stuff from the LFS...

I buy it online. Its usually anywhere from $39.99 - $42 plus $18 shipping. At least from where I get it. Its delivered to your door in two to three days. Works for me. If you want the site email me and I will tell ya where I have been buying it from.

I used to use Instant Ocean and then I saw a little trial bag of the new Oceanic salt at my LFS and decided to try it. I LOVE IT!! I'm definitely switching to Oceanic permanently...it dissolved in like 30 seconds, I'm not kidding. And all of my corals perked up after the water change. So...I'm sold!

I used to use Instant Ocean, but switched to Oceanic.
The Oceanic salt is the best brand I have ever used and I have tried many.
