What camera are you using?

i have the Rebel XT and love it. The thing takes great pics. I got it on line and saved alot of money.For xmass I got a couple of new lenses made by Tamron and they are sweet. If you buy the body then get the tamron lenses instead of the canon lenses you can get a great set up at a lower price. I think the tamron lenses are just as good as the canons. The 8 mega pix. allows for some great enlargements.Hope this helps and if you need a site to order from let me know.

bhphoto has always had great prices IMO, they also have tons of accessories. Plus once you order from them, you will get their 1 lb catalog twice a year.

buydig is another great site very comparible to bh, but I think they may have more lenses at buydig. but there is no catalog at buydig it is all done online. good luck.

never heard of buydig......I'll have to take a look. bh has a great online system, they just send you their huge catalog for temptation.

Thanks. What lense allows great macro shots? What other lenses are worth having?

you don't necessarly have to have a macro lens. My cannon g3 takes great macro shots on the macro setting.
Same with my Pentex digi slr.

Thanks. I plan to pick up the camera locally as long as they don't have restocking fee so I can test it out. I would like a lense that can zoom in on far off objects too but for now I hope the basic camera will do fine.
