i have a question i have had this 10inch pp, puffer and he is not eating to my knowledge i have had him 4 2 weeks the first 3days he was up and swimming now he is hiding in the rocks and not coming out there is no fish in there thats picks on him, I have tryed all kinds of food and no luck lately, Ive done krill, shrimp, squid, silversides, live ghost shrimp, live gold fish, and also soak food in garlic. Any suggestions? he looks good though no signs of stress. he just stays in the rocks moving from side to side.

Have you had any snails or crabs go missing lately, he may be eating those...what are your wter parameters and things like that. A basic question like that doesn't give us much info to go on.

Just be patient. Like darth said, he may be eating some of your inverts. I think that he might just be a little shy right now. What are his tankmates? He may be suffering bad aggression. Another idea is that he may scavenge at night but that's a little more unlikly.

his tankmates are some triggers but they are all affarid of him he is so so huge that they dont even bother him . I havent seen him eat latly the crabs i put in are eaten right away. but he is still looking good . My water is almost perfect , salt level and all is good . im gonna try some more garlic today with krill and shrimp and some squid. i havent fed them in about 3 days so maybe they all will pig out.

Alright. Sounds good. If you can but crabs for good price than maybe they will make a good feeder for him. I still think that in time, he will come out. Sounds like a good plan with the feeding too.

If you are adding crabs and they are being eaten, you have no problem. As long as you keep that up.
This fish will never eat krill or most other frozen foods if he is accustomed to live crustacean..why bother? Krill to him is like one Totino's pizza roll.
Thanks
You have purchased a large carnivorous fish.
If he has eaten at all in the past four days, he's good. You have to supply the food he will eat. Keep those hermies coming!
He will quit hiding soon, as long as he has a food supply.
