Hello all. I started my tank off with nice little fish because I couldn't find a place that had a variety of agressive fish. This is what I have now. Do you think I should just sweet fish or can I add some bullys?
I have 75gal FOWLR
1 false perc.
1 purple firefish
1 4 stripe damsel
hermits
cc star
snails
cleaner shrimp
I realy like lion fish but don't want it to kill other fish. I also like eels but realy afraid they would eat someone. Any ideas would be great.

so you want something that is a predator? You could try a dwarf lion or valentini puffer. Damsels are aggressive.

I have a 4 stripe and I used to have a domino but he was as aggressive as a great white. He bit me every chance he could. He would go out of his way to bite me. If there isn't a semi aggressive fish that wouldn't try to make a meal of my other fish I would love to give it a try. I was thinking about a dwarf lion but I don't want it to eat my other fish because they are pretty small. If this is not possible to mix both the fish I have and a dwarf lion I understand but I wanted all of your opinions before I jump in. Thank you for ansering me. I figured most people on the aggressive bourd would laugh at me asking about aggressive fish that aren't that aggressive.

Well the smaller puffers don't really eat fish whole, unless they are incredibly tiny fish. They do more picking. I have a zebra eel and it has never once tried to eat any of my fish. Though I'm not sure if I'd trust it around shrimp.

Thank you for your help. I think I might wait till all my fish have bit the bottom then go aggressive. I don't want to hurt them.

what about a rabbitfish? i have a foxface lo. he doesn't bother anybody and is an herbivore. They are venemous which is cool and a nice bright yellow to add some color to your tank. I don't know if they are considered semi-aggressive or not, but it's interesting to have a venemous fish.

well with the lions... if you get a dwarf and keep it fed it shouldnt be a prob, I kept a vol. lion in my tank with no probs with the smaller fish for months.. i went away one week.. and boom, no fish.. also not feeding them live food helps make them not as aggressive

foxface requires 90 +gal tank . if you want small and agressive to semi aggresive check into hogfish, hawkfish, alot of your reef safe wrasses.dotty backs ,a few of the fish only species of wrasse fair well in a comunity tank such as bird wrasses. you can do a seach on fishindex. for pictures of different species of smaller agressive to semi agressive fish.as smaller goes I love my flame hawk .he litterally pounces on snails and knocks them out of their shells to eat them lol.its kinda cool to watch

Thank you for all the ideas. I don't want a lion to eat my fish. About once a year we go on a week vacation and we go on 1 weekend vacation. I am afraid my designated fish feeder wouldn't know how to feed on properly to keep it from starving enough to eat my other fish. I may look into the other ones though. Thank you fro the ideas.
