Tell us more about your tank size, age etc.
Do you already have the tang and lionfish??
If so what kind of lionfish do you have??

my tank is a 55gal and about 6wks old. I bought all my lr 100% cured about a week after my tank was up and running. My levels have been perfect for about a month now so I bought my tang and lionfish last week. I was told that my lionfish was a dwarf but I am not sure that is so. After buying it I came home and looked up info about it and it doesnt look alot like the dwarf to me. Here is a pic of it.

I just answered this on another thread. Your lion is beautiful, but you are already overstocked. The lion and the tang will not be happy in that tank. They each would decline in health if they were each alone in that sized tank, both of them together in that tank is not a good thing.

yes u did answer my other thread...I posted one yesterday and didnt get any feedback so I posted this one today. Then I started getting some feedback on both...lol. Anyway, what do u suggest I do? My lfs must not know much about saltwater fish because like i have said...they told me this was a dwarf lion and that it and the tang would be fine in my 55gal. They also told me I could have about 12 fish in it total. I just found this site and am glad I did. I don't know what to do with these fish now. I dont know anyone else who has a saltwater tank to give them to and I am sure the lfs wont take them back.

Have you asked? The lion will be ok for awhile. The lion is a situation of space. The Yellow tang will go nuts and decline in health because of it. They live in wide, open, waters. It is a lot like keeping a hyper dog in a tiny kennel. I know that you do not want to do that. Find another LFS in your area. Tell them that you have two healthy fish. They will probably give you store credit.
