I have little bubbles that collect around the edges of my aquarium on top. Even when I point one of my powerheads at them, they just collect in a different area. What could cause this?
Is there also a slimy/oily film?
You probably just need more surface flow.
I added more power heads at the surface. Got a circular flow going around the top so that all of the surface had aggitation and there were no dead spots.

Good call. I have a hang on protein skimmer and when I use it for a day or so they go away.
ok well if you dont like and would like them gone like me, then add a sponge in the hole where the water return ledge is in your skimmer.
have you used melafix lately?
