You could keep any mushrooms or softies as well as most LPS. I have a 220W on my 55 and I have everything growing like crazy and very happy. I do feed my coral alot though to make sure that any energy that they don't get from zooxalanthe(sp?) is made up for. It seems to be working until I get my big tank with better lights for them.

I too think you will be ok with softies and few other corals. I had 260w pc's over my 90 and was doing ok with softies. You have a 50 so I think you will do fine.

Well I'm not Iechy but I feed mine DT's photoplankton and some of them get tiny pieces of brine shrimp. There are many different kinds of "filter feeder foods"

Yeah Slick's not me (I don't know if that's good or bad for you:D ) but DT's Marine Snow, Microvert, Coral Accel, Golden Pearls, Baby Brine, and cocktail shrimp for those that take them. I like to mix it up in case some like one more than the other, besides I don't like to eat the same thing everyday either. I know some people say that feeding is more important than lighting. I don't know how far I'd take that but it certainly is important to have a good mix of both. Most of my coral, as I should have mentioned, aren't as dependant on zooxalanthe as some others either so that also is a consideration for you. You can check my pics at the site below and see what I have in the tank for what it's worth.
