Im cycling a new tank,has been up bout 5 days.i was inspectong my wet/dry filter today and i noticed a bunch of little things in there.They looked like,well little gold maggots,but they dont move :notsure: any idea what they are?

yep, completely harmless and beneficial, although I could not tell you for sure if that is what they are.

yeah do you have a picture? The other thing commonly found in sumps and does not move are Q-tip sponges. copepods are really tiny and they do move a lot.
