Well this is a shameless piece of self-promotion for sure, but if you caught my Saltwater Sense blog entry last week, you would know that, as a marine aquarist, I want a gift certificate because nobody known what my system needs better than me! lol
What would I use that gift certificate to buy? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I really want a declivis butterflyfish (Chaetodon declivis
), a lifetime supply of Fiji Gold and a really good, environmentally-friendly chiller.

Ret, very good advice. I have had people a couple of times pop up with a gift of a fish, or some coral

I know they mean well, but this just causes you more trouble trying to keep the thing alive before returning it, b/c chances are, it's not something you wanted/needed to begin with. Go with gift certificates....
