What did you do for advise before this board? Talk to lfs, read books, internet, ect...

Got bad advice and waisted alot of money!!! I even got bad advice on books????

I talked to my lfs, read books, internet, talked to fellow hobbyest (on my street), and went to the long beach aquarium. LOVE THAT PLACE!

I thought the owner of the lfs was a god...lol...much to my chagrin he is NOT!!!
Internet mostly, freinds and other hobbiests that happened to be at the lfs. And the ever popular live and learn method!

I mostly read from books.. and a few fish magazines. Looked up different peoples tanks.. then one day I wondered.... "What could be at saltwaterfish.com....?" ;p

as afore mentioned, the ever popular trial and error method in the early days, but mostly reading books and other internet websites now days.

This site actually got me into the hobby... I started reasearching on the interenet on how to keep an octopus in captivity, stumbled on this board, and the rest is history....
