i have a 180 (4 months old) with 210 lbs of rock. all parameters are wnl. coralline algae is starting to grow nicely. i added a piece of rock the other day with 3 frags of xenia. the only additive ive been using is purple up. what should i add for the coral and filter feeders on the rock?? calcium levels are 400 and phosphate is o. thanks.

I never use additives. Its easier to just do water changes. Most sea salt mixes have everything to need. I also wouldn't purple up. It causes the calcium and iodide levels to rise, both of which are detrimental at high levels. Corrilane algae will gowth fine which out it.
As for feeding the coral, I use cyclops and they also will consume leftover fish waste and food.
