I've got a CPR Bak Pak 2R with a rio 600V pump in it. I want to replace it with a good pump. What are some pumps that will fit into the CPR skimmer that I can use?

I am getting ready to purchase one of the BakPaks and was wondering the same thing. Does it automatically come with the Rio 600, or do they give you options when ordering it?

You can use a maxi-jet 900 or 1200, but you have to rig it to attach to the water intake of the CPR bakpak. I think the 900 is closet to the same flow rate.

Under the FAQ section at http://www.cprusa.com they have an answer for a different pump, but say the needed modification is difficult to obtain.
I had a hang on wet/dry with the Rio 600 and it simply quit running for no reason at all time after time. That's when I decided no more Rios and no more equipment that runs Rios.
When I found this site and saw complaint after complaint on them, I wondered why anyone would make equipment that only worked with Rios.
