It was so cute, and it came to me and let me pick it up. What in the world is it?

No telling but if it let you pick it up it sounds like maybe an escaped pet. I'd bet a local pet store could tell you what it is. Looks pretty cool.

Tough to tell from that pic, but Leopard geckos have a lot more yellow in them

We have a little wild gecko here in SW fla. They are much darker then that one and boy are they fast. Hemidactylus mabouia
Amerafrican House Gecko
This gecko is also found in norhtern fla thru MS ---- Mediterranean Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus)

hmmm in geckos around tri county areas are more like light colored almost albinoish feel to it.

That looks very close Mantisman, the one that let me pick it up might have been a baby. Thanks guys. Seemed like it would have made a great pet. lol.

It's some type of gecko. They sell them in the pet stores around here.
