I'm not sure about bulb anems but I had a bubble tip that I injected mysin shrimp at every other day. trick is to get a 30-50 cc syringe( the syringe needs to be that big so the shrimp will fit through the end). I also would dump 1 capful of phytoplankton twice a week.

So you feed them with a syringe? Is that the only way....how do you get it to NOT float away? Do you need to make sure it gets in their mouth?

Mysis shrimp comes frozen. Get about 1/2 cup of your tank water out in a cup, dissolve the frozen shrimp in it, then just suck it up in a syringe. After that put it in front of your anemone and let her rip. he won't get it all but he'll get enough. You could just dump a capfull of phytoplankton in the water but the direct approach will do better for him. Some people use a turkey baster. I'll stick with my syringe.

Just touch the food to a tentacle and let the Anemone pull it into its mouth. If the food doesn't stick then the Anemone isn't hungry.

Very interesting....I bet it is neat to watch them eat...or boring! Does it mean he is hungry when he is showing his mouth? Last night he was alot smaller (first night in tank) and now he is all...ALL out and looks happy

I feed mine shrimp and mahi mahi 3x a week. It seems to like shellfish alot more than fish, and yes it is fun to watch them eat. It's surprising how fast they move when they are motivated.

They move the food right into the middle and its gone....how much do you feed them? Do you feed them until they don't take it or is there a limit with anemones?

I always feed the same amount, about the size of a cube of sugar.
