What do you feed your Rose?

My understanding of E. Quadricolor is that they are fish eaters. My new Rose Anemone has only been accepting Scallops. I don't believe this is a healthy food for these Anemone. I've tried Squid & silversides but they are always rejected. It has been fed enough Scallops to be fine but I'd like to get into spawning condition.
What other options do I have?

Short term I believe they are fine, even for the fish eaters like BTA and Carpets.
I think long term it's best to mimic their natural diet. For BTA I thought this would be whole small fish but mine isn't accepting them.

I know nothing of it, but during a www search on bubble anemonies I read of a vitimin supplement that also promotes splitting.

Have you tried Sand Eels at all?
I know that they are very similar to Silversides, but for whatever reason I have been having a lot more success with the Sand Eels. Fish, Anemones, Corals, etc... all seem to enjoy the Sand Eels more in my opinion.....Sally's Sand Eels that is.
I know that the Sand Eels smell worse than the Silversides. Perhaps they have more blood and fat content in them than Silversides even though they're smaller?

We get them in at work.
We originally ordered them because Silversides were unavailable for quite some time in our area......we tried the (cheaper) smaller Sand Eels and we have had great luck with them. :)

How big is the anemone?
I've had a green E. quadricolor recently split. When I first recieved it at the size of 3", it ate nothing other than krill. As it grew to about 6", it started excepting silversides and lancefish.
If the other foods you're feeding are not triggering the nematocysts, then there's no way you can force the anemone to accept the foods. I would stick with the foods that it will except, and as it grows try other types of foods.

All excellent ideas. Thank you everyone!
The Rose is only about 3" at the present time. I didn't consider that the immature Anemone might have a different diet than the adult. Great thought Graham!!!

I'd agree with the size issue. My LTAs didnt accept silversides until they were about 5 inches. when smaller they took shrimp and such easily. :)

I've had a bubbletip for a couple of weeks now.I basted it with frozen brine a couple of times and it accepted that. Then,I brought a shrimp home from the restaurant I work for.I chopped a small piece off and tempered it in some tank water with some vitamin supplement. As soon as I touched one of the tenticles with it,it was gobbled up!It has now been three days and he seems to expanded somewhat more.
