I have metal Halides on my bigger tank and keep some hard brains and sps in it, but in my 70 gal i have several softies and mushrooms and zoos, and only use Actinics. They have thrived. I started it as an experiment to see just how well it would work. I do keep all the softies in the upper half of the tank though, but it looks great and i love the look of actinics. Goodluck! Todd
