If you already have the pump not to worry. It's a fine pump. You may want to install the ball valve on the return after the pump, not on the overflows.
If you have no purchased the pump, the MD70RLXT might be a better choice for you. The RLT is a pressure rated pump for high head applications. You would get more flow with the RLXT unless you have a basement sump or a lot of plumbing in the return system.
If you're installing in the living room, you will probably hear the hum of the RLT. The fan of either makes quite a bit of noise. You should see if someone in your area has one so you can hear it.
