I have one that took right to my RBTA and it's mate that died would lay next to it in the Xenia. I have one in my main tank that lays in my leather corals at night but wouldn't touch an anemone.
Go figure.

mine USED to host my sebea anemone and my GBTA, they took a while to go to them, about a month, but they did eventually go into them.
the BTA i advise to get cos there alot easier to care for, my sebae never once go its foot stuck, just kept moving around and around, whilst my GBTA stayed where i put it.
so yeh i advise a BTA, and RBTA are the prettiest of the BTA IMO:D

I have Ocellaris, they host all three of my Bubble Tips. Ignored a Hatian anemone and my mini carpet. Before I had any nem's, they hosted my candy cane, torch and almost beat my hammer to death. Different types of clowns will host different anemones but the standard one is the Bubble Tip. If a clown is going to host an anemone, it will most likely host the bubble tip. They are also, IMO, the easiest to care for.
Sebae's are really difficult and if I remember correctly, I don't think they will do so great under your lighting. You lost an RBTA once right?

yeh mine went in my hammer coral too, my hammer coral recently like died. then came back to life, really odd.
it like went totally in so the skeleton was 100% visible and all the tenticles went down, was like that for about 2 weeks, then today a couple tenticles have puffed up:D
almost anything will host ocellaris TBH. aslong as you give them time to get used to it.
you need to remember that tank bred clowns have no use for an anemone wat so ever. in the wild its for protection, and if they need protection in a tank then there compatibility problems.
so there is a chance they may never go to any anemone

over the years I have had clowns host various things.
powerheads, heaters, euphyllia, sarcophyton, fungia, bubble tip anemone, zoanthids, mangrove roots and more. generally it depends on the species of clowns how readily they seem to host, or rather how much they feel the need to host, as well as if they are tank bred/raised or not.

My maroon clown hosts to a green open brain coral... it pisses me off, as it is always sweeping around it with its tail, picking up sand and covering other corals. There is no sand around the coral, sitting on bare glass because of the fish.

My clowns are currently hanging (hosting / being hosted) by a star polyp. I got a green toadstool but they had other plans. They are displaying what I think may be some mating but not sure. I will try to get a video up of them.
