My percs and royal gramma love Hikari Mega Marine. For a special treat once a week i feed them Prime Reef. They love that also. My tang gets green seaweed and sometimes i feed him frozen veggie.

I feed mine Omega One Marine Flakes and they love them...They'd eat forever if I let them...
They do the spitting with the larger pieces, so I just crmble them up until they are almost a powder, and they eat away...

When I bought my baby clown, he wouldn't eat anything at all for me. I was suggested by the guy where I bought him from to feed Cyclop-eeze. So I bought a frozen bar and tried it. He started eating instantly and now he would eat other types of food that I feed for my other fish. He would eat flakes, formula 2, mysis shrimp, etc etc. I've gotten a replacement fish last weekend, I bought two at the beginning, one disappeared the very next morning, dunno where it went?? Anyway, he replaced it for me last weekend when my friend went to pick it up from him. She drove 4 hrs to get there for visits. The new clown is doing quite well and he eats everything too. I believe I'm going to have a bonded pair as they started kissing the very first night and now they sleep together every night. :happyfish

With my clowns, I alternate between frozen Formula One, Bood Worms, Omega, and yes even krill chopped up into tiny pieces.
I soak everything but the Omega in Garlic Guard or fresh garlic juice for about 1/2 hour before feeding. I have found that garlic will make the most finicky and reluctant eater chow down. Garlic is an immune booster, so they are getting a second benefit from the garlic, not just the smell for enticement purposes.
Hope that helps ya,

yea the pellets they go after have garlic in em.. formula one marine pellets soft and moist pellet with garlic is what it says.. and the flake is spectra max with powerbursts(supposed to make em chow down fast)... i guess i will try some reef and shrimp or try mixin it all up together.. i dunno lol
i imagine when they are hungry enough they will eat whatever i put in... at first i thought maybe they were still adjusting to the tank, but they go after it right away..
thank you everyone for sharing your recipes!

My Maroon Clown loves Hikari Marine-S the most. I also feed it Formula 2, Emerald Entree (frozen), Frozen Brine, Live Brine, and freeze dried Krill.

My perc eats whatever goes into the tank. I use formula one, mysis, emerald entree and some occasional flakes.

Brine is the equivalent of candy to us. I'd suggest using the garlic in the brine and then working your way into other foods mentioned here on this site and use garlic with it as well.
No nutritional value is like feeding candy to kids 365 days a year. Eventaully, bones, tissue, body fat, and everything else would begin to suffer from an unhealthy diet.
