Hi:
i rotates thru as many ocean based food as possible.
I prefer (I buy most of this stuff at the grocery store) gulf shrimp w/ shell on, crabmeat , scallop, octi or squid, silversides, chunks of Sw white fish. I also rub selcon on the food and use Vita-chem in the mix as well.
As fas as feeding live freshwater feeders fish to a lion, its a no-no for any type of long term (read over a few weeks)
mainly becuz FW feeders lack the appropiate HUFAs and are excessively fatty fish.
if you are gonna use a FW feeders use ghost shrimp they are the best of the bad things.

While strolling through the local Walmart seafood section a couple of weeks ago I came across this variety pack of seaford pieces used for gumbo's and such. Pieces of octipus, clam, squid, fish, scallop, shrimp, mussels of some sort. Got the whole pack for about 3.5 bucks. Keep them in a rubbermaid box in the freezer. Come feeding time I pull out a variety of pieces, soak them in tank water and feed. Once a week I soak in garlic and once a week in zoecon. Might want to check your local Walmart;)
