Bleaching is bad yes.
sorry to say but it is when it loses
all its colour and is basically not
healthy.
If you also feel its tenticles and
they are not sticky this is another
sign that your anemone is extremely
unhealthy.
mine is currently bleached, but i have
improoved my lighting and its diet so
this will help it recover and you could do
these small things so save your anemone.
SORRY

Mine was bleached and I changed my bulbs and it started to regain its color within 24 hours. How old are your bulbs? What kind of lighting?

its highly unlikely that he regained color within 24 hours.
your anemone was probably stressed and therefore looking 'washed out'.
Truely bleached anemones take months and months of feedings and TLC to regain health.
heres a good link. It refers to rose anemones but you get the idea.

its not getting enough light. some anemones can survive under PC lighting but in higher wattages. To bring your anemone back you need to upgrade your lights, or add more and start feeding him small amounts of meat soaked in Zoe or another nutritional supplement.
Or just return him to the LFS if you cant do these things... or find a fellow reefer that can.

I said it started to regain color within 24 hours. I didn't say it was back to normal that quickly. I watch my livestock closely and I guarantee you I could see a difference in the color within 24 hours.

Weren't you just asking if your lighting is sufficient for an anemone and everybody has pretty much said that you need stronger lighting.
