What does your lfs charge for RO water?

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to get a general idea of how much I can expect to pay for RO water. I don't even know if the lfs I go to sells it yet, but I was trying to get an idea of how much I can expect to pay per gallon. I am trying to figure out how long it would take for an RO unit to pay for itself.
Thanks

I pay $.50 here for RODI and $1.00 for premixed sw. I just bring in 2 7 gal jugs for each and I'm done. Living in an apartment I don't have the room to get a big trashcan and premix sw and so on, so it's easier for me and I know it's good stuff.

My lfs charge .90 cents a gallon.
but i got a Tap Water purifier for $28.95 that you just attaches to any faucet and treats 50-150 gallons of water and it works great.

My lfs charges .50 a gallon. I am going to check into the salt water premixed. I do not know if they doo that. Anyways I go to a water store. It is only .25 a gallon, plus it is only a mile from house. The lfs is 35 miles.
I think this might be an Arizona thing, but we have water stores all over. They sell spring water, RO water, ice cream and soda's.
Hope this helps...

We're lucky, LFS gives us all the RO water we can carry for free. He does this for all his customers. They're not all bad. :D

Up here in Washington, the LFS's suck. (at least the ones I've been to). They don't have RO water, but of all places,Albertsons has a machine that sells it for 29 cents/gal. Great quality too!

Here to SHEL. Waterstores are everywhere. Price is also $.25 gallon. I still think it would be cheaper to just buy a RO unit but I'm not going to put one in for a house that I rent. Plus we also use it for our drinking water.

Hey Tonka,
I was wondering why I was the only one getting RO water from the water store. You learn something new everyday. I did not know if other states did that. Thanks

My LFS will give it to me free, but if I am doing my change after he has closed or forget togo by, a store here also sells it for 25 cents a gallon.

I have three different lfs', with three different prices. But I can go to HEB and they charge .30 a gallon. My local lfs which is about two minutes from the house charges .20 a gallon. It would suck to have to pay .90 a gallon. I think all Albertson's, HEB's, Tomb Thumbs, etc.. have water purifier's in the front of their stores. ;)

The only danger with those water machines outside of grocery stores is you must be sure they're cleaning them on a regular basis. They're all over the place in SoCal, but up here in Wa., nobody's ever heard of them. What did I step back in time when I moved up here?!!

We have distilled water delivered to the house for the tank, and our LFS charges .69/gal for SW. Have seen SW at other LFS for 1.29/gal

I get Ro water from Cub Foods for 35 cents a gallon.
Has anyone used Brita water filters? Just wondering if they do anything good for an aquarium.

50 cents a gallon. I get three 5gallon containers every week and a half. The bad part is carrying them in! One is used just for topoff. The others for water changes. --Bob

It's kind of funny, I get my saltwater for $.39 a gallon. All ready to go. And I thought it was hard for us here in SoCal...

One of the LFS i go to says that they carry salt water from Catalina. He says that a tanker comes in a couple of times a week and fills it up. Is this for real, legal, better than pre-mix salt, better than r/o w/salt mix????
Thanks guys
