What eats flat worms..........a syphon and flatworm exit. I have tried everything in the past. Has any one here actually seen a mandrin or 6 line eat a flat worm? I have had several sets of each and none would eat them.
Flatworm exit works really well and will eraticate the problem in literally minutes.

I agree. This is the best way to eliminate a flatworm problem. Justfollow the directions carefully and siphon out as many as you can before the treatment.

i have thought about the flatworm exit but I really dont want to risk the toxins they release killing anything in my tank. How toxic are they?

Are they dark or are they the little tiny white ones??
If they are the little white ones they do no harm. They just seem to show up more at some times........ The Red and Brown ones can be an issue, but I never have had the darker ones to worry about ............ YET

Mine eventually went away, I don't know if it was my yellow wrasse, scooter blennie or a reduction of nutrients but they are gonzo

yes they are the brown/red kind. I wouldnt say they are an issue in my tank yet but they are there. They are mostly on the sandbed now. But they are not smothering anything. I siphon out hundreds everytime I do a water change but sure enough their population regenerates. are those nudibranches toxic?

I have had to do it twice and had no problems with toxins. If you can see them, you will be amazed how many come out when flat worm exit is applied. I put in the FLE, let sit for 45 minutes, then syponed out all I could see and did a strong water change. Never lost any coral or fish. And this was done on extremely populated reef tanks.

Goggle Salfert Flat Worm Exit. Expensive but it works GREAT! I hated to run to chemicals, but had no choice. The below thread shows my 92G and 100G frag that I used it on with zero side effects to anything I could detect and as you can see I had a fair amount to loose.

how bad were your flatworms?
About a year or so ago in the frag tank, they were pretty bad. At all times I could see hundreds through out the tank. In another tank, they were very sporatic, but I nuked it and found hundreds more than I couldn't see. In the frag tank I had a mandrin and six line and they did nothing.

Do you know of anything that eats the red shrooms? Mine are out of control!

I've tried the Sixline, I've tried flatworm exit. The sixline never touched the flatworms, but I read that they actually eat the larvae, not sure if this is true.
As for Flatworm eXit, I tried this as well. It did a good job with my hospital tank the SECOND time I used it and used double the recommended dosage. On the display tank it didn't work even the second round with double the dosage. I suspect that it didn't circulate inside all the liverocks and sand, so flatworms survived armageddon in there. 6 months later, you'd never guess that the population had been almost wiped out. Between the siphoning, charcoal, and water changes, flatworm exit is a VERY messy and time-consuming solution.
I'm not sure of my next step. Either:
1. A sixline/mandarin/scooter blenny combined with religious water changes and siphoning;
2. Flatworm exit aided by an extra circulating pump;
3. Velvet nudibranch.

Seems to me that any of the Wrasses munch on the buggers. Also seems to me that they are like anything else a plague that will come and go with available nutrients.
