i have these things that grow on my rock which look like the stalks of feather dusters but no feathers at the top. they're not hurting anything, just annoying cause whenever i feed my fish they seem to know and they let this web of what looks like a mucous to catch the food. i want to get rid of these things. is there anything that eats these?

Good old vermetid snails. There's nothing that I know of that will eat them, but you can break them off as close to their base as you can, you can smother them in reef epoxy, you can remove some nutrients from the tank and starve them, or you can leave them as is. Other than possibly being an eye sore, I don't think they do any real harm

The easiest way I know is to get a small syringe with a needle and squirt some very heavily concentrated kalk paste in there. Works on all of mine.

I understand. Truly, I think the easiest way to get rid of them is to starve them by removing excess nutrients from the tank. It's a good thing all around and will eliminate the need to remove them one by one.
