What Fish Next?

Hey everyone! i have a 55 gallon fish only with live rock tank. i currently have about 35-40 lbs of live rock with about 35 lbs of live sand as well. i have a yellow tang and 2 false clowns. i was wondering what would be a good fish to go with next and which ones to stay away from. Any input would be appreciated!

I heard that the flame angel should be put into a tank toward the end of the stock list as they are not very welcoming toward new fish.
I was hoping to go with maybe another tang, If so, which ones would yall suggest and which ones would you stay away from? Thanks!

you should stay away from the ones that get too big for that size tank. that narrows it down to-none of them.

Well thats not good then. What would you suggest then. I want to get something other than a wrasse. I am going to be getting a diamond goby soon so if you could include that in your suggestions it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes i'm going to get a diamond goby! haha!
Just make sure your rockwork isn't just sitting on the sand and is stable with the base resting on the bottom of the glass. That diamond goby will dig and dig and dig and you don't want the rocks falling into your glass.

Yeah, all my rocks are solidly in place. Besides the rock work, would it be okay in the current tank? Thanks!

I think it would do well. Keep an eye on that tang though. He may get too large for your tank if he isn't already.

As of now, he is pretty small in comparrison to many i have seen. I think he will be alright for the being. Thanks!

Good luck with your diamond goby, I would've taken X's suggestion (love the longfins
). Make sure to update and tell us how clean your sand is

I just added a flame angel to my 46 gallon tank. i currenlty have 2 clowns, 1 purple firefish, 1 royal gramma, and 1 6-line.
I'm going to add a midas blenny when my LFS gets one.
The flame isn't even a little aggressive towards ANY of my other fish. I don't think you should have a problem. From what I've read, the flames are the least aggressive of dwarf angels.

Sweet! i will post pictures of the goby as soon as i get him! i think i am going to get him later this week! Thanks for the help everyone!

I would like a diamond goby myself, but I have a DSB and he would totally defeat the purpose. But they are really cool fish. He might kick up a sand storm every now and then though.
