I need some help with what gorgonians i can put in my soon to be running 20L tank. I will be putting live sand and rock in. I have an AC500 that i will be turning into a refug. I also have a PH that turns 160 GPH. I also have 130 W of light via a Coralife light...2x65
What gorgonians would i be able to put in this tank? Or what could i change to make it able to put them in the tank?
Thanks
I know it will be awhile before i add anything, just looking ahead..

There are several gorgonians that will do well in the aquarium. All of them are photosynthetic though. Non-photosynthetic gorgonians can do well, but a heavy feeding regime (rotifers, brine nauplii, maybe cyclopeeze...depends on polyp size) would be in order and most aquarists will not keep up. In general to determine if the gorgonian is photosynthetic take a look at the polyp, if it is brown/tan, or sometimes a silvery brown color or yellow, it is usually photosynthetic. Do a search for wetwebmedia and gorgonians or sea fans. They have some really good info. A couple common names to look for are Purple Ribbon Gorgonian, Corky sea finger (Briareum sp.),Plexaurella grandiflora, Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata, and plenty of species commonly under the name sea rod. Good luck and just make sure you get a photosynthetic gorgonian to start off at least.
