Well, I know it's just a list. But, I am getting really excited for a rimless reef tank! If you guys could help me put together my stock list that would be great. I was going for a bigger tank with a bunch of smaller fish. I think it will be awesome.
Thanks guys. I appreciate any help.

Sounds like you've got a pretty good plan already! I hope you do a thread on here, when you start!

The only thing I would change is the sand sifting star to a serpant star! The reason for this is the sand sifter will most likely starve in a 70g.
Also, I believe it is possible that your pistol may eat your cleaner.

Welcome to the site! +1 I agree with Shrimpy on most of your list.
A few critters on your list is for a MUCH later date. Anemones should be in a mature tank of a least 6 months.
The Diadema (black) urchin will starve in a 70g tank less than 2 years old and full of coralline. I have a 90g 4 year old tank, and keeping mine happy with algae is a challenge. I don’t clean the back and sides of my tank so algae can grow for my critters to eat…The urchin has been in my tank for 1 month, one side is clear and so is the back. He has not started on the rocks much and he does have the one side to go. Algae is beginning to form on the one side he cleared, so I have hope. They like coralline algae and if there is a thick coating (which takes a long time to build) he takes off the top layer giving the algae a chance to grow before going back..That’s the plan, I HOPE it works for me or I will have to find it a home.
Oh and I would change my heater type to a titanium one, mine broke and electrocuted my tank. I was told nobody ever had problems with the titanium ones and they don’t cost any more than the others.

Ok, maybe I won't get the Urchin. I like coraline algae, and if they eat it, that's a drawback for me. And I'll go for a titanium heater (How many watts for my tank?). Thanks Flower.

I'm not sure...sorry. I got a 300w for my 90g and I'm not sure of that either, but temps are holding steady...When your tank is very mature the coralline gets so thick and dark, that all the urchin will do is scrape the top layer and fresh clean coralline will be under it. On NEW coralline growth they clean it down to bare rock...That's why I said further into the future.

Sure, sure. I don't know. I think I'll just pass on the Urchin. Maybe I'll just get the 300w heater.

I'm not sure if the saying is true for titanium heaters or not...I read two small heaters are better than one big one...so look into it since you have the time.

I run two 150watt heaters in my tank. One set to turn on at 76 and the other at 74. That way if the job can be done with 1 heater then the other only turns on if absolutely needed saving money and preventing a fast temp swing.

Ohh, maybe I'll do that. That sounds like a good thing to do. I see you live in Vegas. I just moved out of there...However you do have Trop Aquarium down there.

They eat all algae, and they stay hungry.
