I have this brown film on top of the water in my 75 gal reef the surface is mildly adjitated with power heads i have 1 yellow tang, 1 niger trigger, 2 blennies, 2 clowns. any thoughts

do you have a skimmer? thats is pretty much what the skimmer is for. I had that for a while and i just moved my powerheads slightly for a little more agitation at the surface and now its fine

Maybe add another powerhead at the other end of the tank for more surface action, and get a nice skimmer if you dont have one. Also if you dont have the $ to get a skimmer right now try feeding the fish a little less so there is less extra food

Yes i have a skimmer, i reranged my flow, and the stuff is gone, i researched a bit and answered all of my questions thanks for your help
