Yeah, I hear ya... there is a bar near where I live that has quite a few species including nurse sharks in aquariums they can barely turn around in... I guess that is their "draw" to get people in the door. (not sure of the rules of this forum, so i'll refrain from mentioning the name of the place)...
I'll agree that most people who keep sharks shouldn't, but there are some people (jcrim is a good example) who are willing to provide the necessary space, knowledge, and husbandry practices to keep them alive and happy long term.
THIS WORLD IS SO STUPID!!!!!!!!! People are being especially mean to sharks. i bet at least half of the people who keep sharks keep them in tanks too small and once they are adult size they can't even turn!!!!!! i heard of someone who put 8 sharks in a 180 gallon. one of them were nurse sharks. i reccommend anyone who keeps sharks to keep them in a tank where at adult size the width is equal or longer than the side and the length is at least 4 times their length. this thread includes dealers too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i heard of a dealer putting a nurse shark 20" in a 30 gallon!!!!!!!!!! everyone who keeps a fish should reaserch everything about them. i don't keep sharks but i have done tons of reaserch on almost all saltwater fish but i plan on keeping sharks. you guys need :help: i am so mad and sad at all those fish with horrible homes
