What in the world is this???

i have no idea what this is, its growing in a cave in my tank. It first started in like a cacoon-like form, now looks like this. Anybody know what it is?

im a little confused at what were supposed to be looking at? it miught help if u opened this picture up under paint and circle what were trying to identify. but it looks like maybe a star pylop in the middle right?

Are you talking about the thing in the middle of the pic? If its what I think it is. it is a nusence and will spread rapid stinging anything it touches..

If im thinking right its Apstasia.. it is not a good thing to have growing.. A LFS has a 250 gl set up that they sell from, loaded with this I'm talking its all over the tank and the manager cant understand that its killing his coral.. I had told him to take a copper banded buterfly and put him in the tank to see if he will eat it or even take a rock out and put it with the buterfly fish but he has yet to do it... he wants to buy some chemical to try to kill it?? I wont buy from this guy till its gone.. Hope this helps

its not aptista, its a hard material and doesnt move. it really looks as if its made of plastic, but i know its alive becuase i watched it grow.
