ive always defined a nano as a reef system smaller equal to or smaller than 40gallons! yes indeed your tank could be setup as a nano! what type of setup are you thinking of?

I've always thought of nanos lower than around 30-35 gallons, but there really is no definition. Just a smaller sized tank. You can have it as a mini reef setup(Corals) or just a fowlr(fish only with live rock). They are harder to manage cause of the small water amounts to dilute toxins/crap. You also run out of room for corals and fish. I had a ten that filled up real quick so I got a 24g nano-cube by jbj.

I am plannin on adding a black clown fish to my 14 gallon mantis tank . I think you would be fine to put a pair and an anemone in your tank .
