what is a splitting anenome?

It splits to reproduce, and it means exactly that. The anemone divides itself in 2 halfs, sometimes more. The halfs form a mouth and become a clone of the one it split from. Its one of 2 ways anemones can reproduce, 99% of the time splitting is the way they reproduce the aquarium. However an anemone that splits many times in a year is said to be stressed. Its not uncommon to see one go for 2 or 3 years without splitting. The other way they reproduce is sexually.
